Be a Light
Dear friends,
Recently our church reverend was visiting and was shown a photograph of myself in Victorian clothes which was taken by a photographer as a request by himself. Carol's honest reaction was to say 'why is this hidden in the corner, it should be hung up where everyone can see it'.
Encouragingly Jesus spoke to the multitudes these words -
'Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel but on a candlestick and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven'. Amen Matthew 5 vs 15&16.
Meaning we are encouraged not to conceal the talents, abilities and qualities that He has given us but rather let them shine and be shared with others.
Please pray with me for others who are seeking to use their Heavenly talents. Thank you prayer ministers.
Heavenly Father, thank you for the unique gifts and talents you give to us through the Holy Spirit. giving each one of us your special vision on how to use them for your glory and for helping others. As the lamp is only effective if not hidden and then shines please let us shine for you. Through Jesus name, Amen
