We've Appointed a New Director of Ministry!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Greeting to you all on this lovely spring morning. As you’re already aware, we conducted a series of 4 interviews for the post of Director of Ministry, the last being concluded yesterday afternoon.  I am delighted to inform you that the interview panel unanimously identified a successful applicant.  The Reverend Kris Kramer has been offered and accepted the position.

I wish to record my thanks to you all for your prayers and thoughts over this somewhat unsettling period of vacancy.  Your steadfastness and self-sufficiency have all contributed to the ongoing momentum of Acorn, and this is something of which we can all be proud.  He has shown His intent, and we offer thanksgivings for His guidance that we were able to discern His will and make it happen.

This is going to be such an exciting new chapter for all of us as we’ll be able to regenerate the Academy, create more hubs and generally expand our footprint and presence to achieve our aim of ‘more people praying for more people’ and thereby effect more healings.

Kris’ start date has yet to be decided, but we shall post this as soon as we know.  In due course, Kris will be posting his message of introduction and conducting a round of hub visits.

With thanks and blessings to you all.

Gordon

Some information about Fr Kris..

Fr Kris joins Acorn after long stints in parish ministry and hospital chaplaincy.
Originally from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina in the USA, Fr Kris was ordained in the Diocese of London after training at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. His wife Caroline (Team Rector of St Matthews Surbiton) and their two dogs and two cats recently returned to England after a second stint of ministry in the USA.

When asked about this opportunity Reverend Kramer said, “Acorn truly offers something that the world is hungry for at the moment. I am so excited to be a part of a healing ministry with such an incredible legacy of reaching out to a hurting world with God’s amazing healing love! Acorn really is an answer to a prayer for me.”

Reverend Kramer has four grown children and when he is not working he enjoys watching birds, watering flowers, riding rollercoasters, watching Rugby, hitting golf balls, playing music, and traveling.
